Variety is the spice of life....

One of my favorite things is to explore options and effects that combining different elements and colors can produce....how does my witch's vibe or your perceived narrative change with the different accompanying elements?

Holiday Updates

I have many holiday events happening -- but you can also find my ornaments at local shops including both I Like You locations in St. Paul and Minneapolis as well as at Argyle Zebra gallery in lowertown St. Paul. AZ Gallery is also holding a small art exhibit with great giftable originals so be sure to check that out!

Additional live shopping events on my schedule include in Minnesota: a Black Friday pop up market on Nov. 25 at Torg's Brewing in Spring Lake Park MN, Art at Hidden River (formerly Art at Ramsey) on Dec. 3 in St. Paul MN, and in Florida the Things & Stuff retail event at Mize Gallery during the month of December and of course the ever fabulous  Holizaar Holiday Bazzar at the Studio@620 in St Petersburg on Dec. 17.

I hope to see you soon!

Nature Inspired

A quick look at the inspiration of some of my recent designs...as always nature is a big source of wonder in my world and every time I can be outside observing, I come home inspired. Spending time in the woods is one of my favorite experiences. I have hiking buddies who are mushroom fans and their excitement has rubbed off on me.... and now there is a sticker so we can let everyone know about our obsession.

All The Feels

This year I've found myself using my art to express a lot more emotional content. Even if it is in a subtle, humorous way, I've been putting out some heavy feelings and what surprises me is how many other people comment that they can relate to these themes. Everyone has suffered loss and I'm trying to make sharing sadness less awkward. I was brought up believing it was shameful somehow to cry, that it was a weakness but it isn't. It's normal, it's human and it is healthy. So, to all my fellow public criers, I see you.  Feel what you feel, both good and bad. And if you just like spooky dark humor, I'm here for that too. XO

Friends

I've been reflecting a lot this year on what it is to be a friend, have a friend, levels of friendship, how proximity affects it, things you share and do with/for your friends....and how they sustain you in return. Look for some of these guys to be in the FRIEND show upcoming at Mize Gallery in November 2022.
