Nature Inspired

A quick look at the inspiration of some of my recent designs...as always nature is a big source of wonder in my world and every time I can be outside observing, I come home inspired. Spending time in the woods is one of my favorite experiences. I have hiking buddies who are mushroom fans and their excitement has rubbed off on me.... and now there is a sticker so we can let everyone know about our obsession.

 

All The Feels

This year I've found myself using my art to express a lot more emotional content. Even if it is in a subtle, humorous way, I've been putting out some heavy feelings and what surprises me is how many other people comment that they can relate to these themes. Everyone has suffered loss and I'm trying to make sharing sadness less awkward. I was brought up believing it was shameful somehow to cry, that it was a weakness but it isn't. It's normal, it's human and it is healthy. So, to all my fellow public criers, I see you.  Feel what you feel, both good and bad. And if you just like spooky dark humor, I'm here for that too. XO

 

Friends

I've been reflecting a lot this year on what it is to be a friend, have a friend, levels of friendship, how proximity affects it, things you share and do with/for your friends....and how they sustain you in return. Look for some of these guys to be in the FRIEND show upcoming at Mize Gallery in November 2022.

Group Exhibition at AZ Gallery in St. Paul

 

I'm really excited to be part of my first group gallery show here in the Twin Cities! 

 AZ Gallery / Argyle Zebra Gallery seems to be a very community focused fine arts center so I look forward to meeting some like-minded creative folks there. 

Exhibit opens Saturday, April 2, 2022 and remains on display through  Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Cosmic Cats Coming Soon

 The simplicity and difficulties of this modern age... having the ability to easily change a color scheme with digital designs is fun, exiting, and for me, overwhelming! When you love so many colors how do you decide? I often ask for feedback through social media polls so follow me on Instagram and put in your 2 cents! I ultimately did make a choice on cosmic cat colors... I basically chose them all! Watch out for a sticker invasion of multi-color inter-dimensional cats happening soon....
