Simple Screen Printing Workshop on August 10 in White Bear Lake

 

Learn a new skill to express yourself! This workshop is an introduction to a very simple screen-printing method and will teach you an easy way to print your own t-shirts or other fabric items at home using a DIY method that is time tested, non-toxic, and fun as heck.

Develop your design in class or come with an idea. You’ll print your design on both paper and a cotton tea towel using screen printing ink. You can also bring your own t-shirt to print on if you like. Bring a hanger from home to transport your shirt with wet ink. You will be using ink that does NOT wash out of clothes, so wear something you can get messy in or bring an apron (some aprons will be available to use but not enough for everyone). Bring your own snack and extra shirt to print on if desired.

Summer Fun

MOTHer's day

butterflies usually get all the love but i have a fondness for moths as well... less glamorous but equally dutiful pollinators and sometimes furry...and associated more with moonlight in my mind than the bright sunshine so... I'm debuting some of my recent moth images at an art event over mother's day weekend at the Minneapolis sculpture garden...should be a cool venue for an art show May 11-12, 2024

 

 

Cattitude...

some recent cat images...  i know people think cats are a little cliche at times but i think they're fun...

i've been working out some ideas in multiple print methods and appreciating each technique for what it offers... i still crave the act painting though so i am pretty sure that needs to happen soon.... i have to prepare myself for feeling awkward at it once i do start, but hopefully it is like riding a bike and will eventually flow like it used to ... it has been at least 12 years since i really created a body of large paintings so i am definitely in need of that fix... but for now here are some cats. enjoy.

 

Valloween

 There has been a growing interest in dark romance or Valloween it seems... which I am definitely on board with. I mean, what is more scary that being vulnerable with someone emotionally, am I right?
